The door of the poet’s house
I
t is real. And it is the first step and gesture to enter a creative state, a more sensitive connection to the world of matter which surrounds us. Matter that dissolves into liquid.
The same way words whispered softly in a text dissolves into multiple meanings.
The same way the body surrenders to tenderness, to a kiss, to the suffering of the flesh… and dissolves into water, blood, interstitial fluid and urine.
This is the door of Mário Cesariny’s house, surrealist poet and artist, who lived between 1923 and 2006) now displayed in the Lisbon Arts Gallery “House of Liberty – Mário Cesariny” (Rua das Escolas Gerais, nº13, Alfama). Brother and neighbor of Perve Gallery [ http://www.pervegaleria.eu ].
